We all know what stress feels like and it’s not a great feeling. That horrible experience of being under so much emotional or mental pressure that you feel like you’re about to burst. It’s not selective either. Stress can affect anyone of any age and from any background.

The sad truth is that in this modern age, stress is part of our everyday life. There’s the good stress like waiting for your bride to walk down the aisle or the birth of your first child, and then there’s the bad stress, like work or relationship related stress which can, in turn, be the cause of many other conditions and ailments.

The good news is that hypnotherapy is a frequently used treatment to manage your stress levels and help ease your anxiety. It can help free you from the heavy, debilitating weight of bad stress or the constant gnaw of anxiety and leave you feeing lighter, happier and healthier.

What Is The Cause of Stress & Anxiety?

The short answer is that stress is caused by a variety of different things and as everyone is a unique being, this means each person has a stress limit unique to them. Common triggers are work, money, relationships, exams and tests, death of a loved one, or your health or the health of someone around you. Alternatively, you might not even know what is causing you to be stressed as it could be something deep-rooted from your past.

As human beings we are extremely resilient, and the truth is most of us have learned how to deal with moderate amounts of stress. We can recognise it as being part of our everyday life and somehow we manage to soldier on and just get on with things – putting on a “stiff upper lip” for appearance’s sake. But long term, if the stress is unresolved then living under this strain can be terribly challenging - and can often lead to ill-health.

Stress can cause migraines, skin conditions, sleep problems, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, depression and severe anxiety. It can also affect our immediate relationships as stress triggers bad moods and when we are feeling so uptight, it can detrimentally affect how we interact with others.

It is also the root cause of so many emotional issues and this why it is important to learn how to manage your stress levels, to take charge of your thoughts, your emotions and the way you deal with certain situations.

And finally, if you want to fulfil your true potential then you need to be able to reduce your stress. That's why hypnotherapy is such a popular strategy for relieving stress, maintaining your health, re-establishing your inner balance and boosting your overall well-being.

How Hypnotherapy Can Help You Eliminate Stress & Feel Calmer

The calm and peaceful nature of The Therapy Cabin offers the perfect place to escape the outside world and enter into a relaxing sanctuary of calm. Hypnosis will help you relax so you are able to reduce your stress levels, release any tension you are holding onto, and lower your anxiety levels. I’ll also show you how to do self-hypnosis so you are able to manage your stress levels whenever you need to – be it at work or in the home.

Not only will hypnosis help you to relieve your stress, it can also help you eliminate or at least reduce the problems that are causing you stress in the first place.

For some of us, the problems might stem from something that happened to you in the past that you haven’t yet dealt with, or managed to let go of. Even though these problems might have happened a long time ago, or perhaps feel insignificant now, they can still have a massive impact on us today. So, this is something we could look at together in a safe, trusted environment where you will have my full support.

Regardless of what is triggering your stress and anxiety, it is your mind that tells your body how it will respond to those triggers. Stress is created by your thoughts and anticipation of what your conditioned mind believes will happen next. And if your mind interprets a situation as being stressful it will tell your body that you are in a stressful situation and so your body will react accordingly.

Why hypnosis is so successful is because it can change the way your mind interprets these situations – replacing a stressed feeling with a calm feeling. This allows you to stay in control during those times when you would normally feel stressed.

Hypnosis for stress and anxiety helps your mind to perceive situations differently, which will reduce your stress and make you feel calmer, healthier and happier.
